Microsoft and ArabiaWeather have signed an agreement on building, deploying and cross testing ArabiaWeather's high computing processes over Microsoft's Azure platform. Since ArabiaWeather is an extensive open source adopter the utilization of Linux based servers comes in handy. ArabiaWeather plans to start off testing its new flagship DBMS that handles big data on the DS Class servers on Azure, initial tests show very attractive benchmarks.
Down the road the data engineers and scientists at ArabiaWeather will start to implement the machine learning algorithms within the ML Suite provided with Azure, this should help increase accuracy of the data. Also both parties are going to work on implementing an IoT aggregation engine that allows ArabiaWeather to be capable of picking up all of its weather stations data and process the data in realtime.
